You may be wondering why this post is titled “Who Are You? Wednesday.” Well, since Alex is visiting family we don’t have much to talk about…so let’s get to know each other! In the comments section the task for today is to post some facts about yourself so we can get to know each other better. Feel free to say as little or as much as you want! Have fun! Oh and here’s Alex getting to know Kara a little better. :lol:

Well, I just finished reading all the comments for today and I think there’s an Alex fan on every corner of the map! How cool!

  1. Hello everyone, I’m Molly. I’m 21 years old and I go to USC. I’m originally from the Midwest and I miss it dearly! I’m a nursing major and I’m ALMOST DONE!!! I like all outdoor activities (hiking, camping, fishing, surfing) and I absolutely LOVE music. I have a little sister and an Alaskan husky dog named Kodi. And the #1 thing you should know about me is I LOVE ALEX LAMBERT!!!! 8)

  2. Well Molly, that’s something we have in common. I LOVE ALEX LAMBERT, TOO !!!!! I’m a bit older than Molly, in my 40’s. I’m on the East Coast. I’m basically a stay home mom with a part time job on the side. I have a degree in business from Johns Hopkins University, but I put my career on hold to have kids. Best decision I’ve made (although my Mom wouldn’t agree). My husband thinks I’m nuts about this whole Alex thing. I think he’s coming around though because he sees that it makes me happy.

  3. Ha Cathy, same thing with my hubby, except if he calls him Adam one more time I am gonna bop him lol. I am also in my 40’s, moved to Mississippi from San Diego recently (how depressing is that?), for my husbands work. I have been a office manager for years, but right now, I am currently Unempl. still looking. My boys are 20 and 22 and still live in San Diego (:( miss them sooo much!) I really like the outdoors and we do alot of boating and fishing on the Tennessee River, but its toooo hot right now! I think for me, my love for Alex is because he reminds me sooo much of my youngest son Ben. SOOOO misunderstood, extremely talented like Alex, musically and artistically, and extremely squirlly, didnt always think before he said something, and brutally honest, but had aot of negativity and criticism from people who chose not to get to know him and judged him only on his actions and not his heart, but its amazing how one year can makes such a difference, and I am sure that the maturity thing will come along with Alex too.

  4. well, i am in my 40’s also with a toddler and another one on the way!! we are in mass. for the summer (where i grew up), but live in florida now,(i hate it there it is way too hot and humid for me)! my husband and i participate in triathlons and marathons, my last marathon i qualified for the boston marathon, now the trick is to try to get back in shape to run it after the baby is born! we have 2 dogs, unfortunatley last week i had to put another one of our dogs (my first baby) to sleep, very very sad, if miss him sooo much!! my husband also thinks i am also crazy, used to give me a lot of crap about the whole alex thing, but now he just goes with it. he does agree that alex is very talented!! i hope he comes back soon!!!

  5. Good morning! I’m Marianne, and in my early 50’s!! I have a husband and 3 sons – 23, 20 and 16 (almost 17). The youngest is named Alex!! We live in Michigan about an hour north of Detroit – a little bit countrified – gravel roads and lots of trees and wildlife (damned deer better not eat my impatiens!!). I was a corporate paralegal for several years before staying home to raise our sons. Over the years I’ve had various part-time jobs – working for a caterer, waitressing evenings/weekends, substitute teaching, mortgage banking admin. (laid off in 2007), and, currently as a part-time nanny to an adorable 2-year-old boy. I also do temp work from home for a company that scores standardized educational testing – scoring student’s essays or short answer test questions. A big part of our activities center around Alex’s ice hockey – which we love!! After all, Detroit is Hockeytown! He plays (or practices) pretty much year-round, and we get so much pleasure in watching him progress. Our oldest is about to begin grad school, locally, to get his M.S. in Biomedical Engineering, the middle son is living (oh is he living!) nearby with some friends while attending classes at another local Univ., and Alex has just finished his junior year in h.s. Between hockey, work, keeping these men fed, and, of course, following Alex Lambert – my life is very full!! And all my guys think I’m nuts too :) Thank goodness I have my on-line friends to talk to — because my guys don’t want to hear about it all!!! Have a great day!!

  6. Areyouin – My son is just getting started in hockey. Boy, what an expensive sport!

  7. Yes, indeed, Cathy – how old is he?

  8. Hi guys! Well I’m Kaycee, 24, from the Philippines (somewhere in Asia). I believe Alex does have a lot of Asian fans as well. I have been a constant follower of this site ad DU though I haven’t been participating in comments but I do check the site everyday after work. I would actually call myself an Alex addict. I was so heartbroken when he got voted off Idol and it was so hard to recover. lol. Anyway, thank you so much to the admin for putting this site back up and running! :)

  9. Hey All! I’m 26 from SF and I work as a graphic designer. I mostly check in on the site through my phone which doesnt leave my hand (yeah im one of those). I’m a total music fanatic and mostly listens to alternative and folkish lo-fi music and kinda hate pop that’s why it still baffles me that I love Alex’s stuff?!?! Actually he’s making me like RnB and I’ve downloaded a bunch of songs from James Morisson coz he’s his fave. I started listening to Paolo Nutini since people keep saying Alex sounds like him too now I’m totally hooked! Anywho, Alex has an amazing voice and I still find myself quite amazed listening to him coz it so doesnt match his adorable face. hahaha… Nice to meet y’all and early Congrats Molly!

  10. Hey to everybody! I’m Kathryn (going to be known now as “Kat”–thought that would be a fun nickname) Anyway, I’m 28, from Apple Valley, MN and just enjoy great music. I really enjoyed Alex’s version of SSB. I live with my family (parents and siblings) at present and am currently job hunting. Anyway, I love following everybody’s careers in the house. And I really enjoy this site (and Ben’s site too) and reading everybody’s comments. Great to meet everybody!

  11. Well my name is Libny and I am from Guatemala (Central America) I live in a beautiful town called Antigua Guatemala. I am 24 years old and I enjoy surfing the web (h) I have one younger brother and one younger sister. I work in a hotel and I love it because I get to meet people from all around the world. And guess what? I also LOVE ALEX LAMBERT!!! :P

  12. Good morning Angels. I can’t believe how many of you have sons named Alex. That’s pretty cool. We have a lot of Alexanders in my family too, grandfather, brother, and a couple of nieces named Alexis, so I guess it’s a name we love!

    I’m not giving away my age, but I’m old enough to be Alex’s mother. I’m married to my husband of 25 yrs (do the math) Ed. He’s a drummer and we have a lot of musical people in our family. He thinks I’m having an online affair with Alex or something. Dumb ass! Whenever he walks in the room and sees me on this site or watching the show, he asks very sarcastically “Oh, chatting with your little boyfriend?” I tell him to stop stalking me! LOL! Funny to think he could still be jealous after all these years. But, he’s still my best friend and love of my life, so…I’m blessed. I’m very lucky that he still looks at me through the eyes of the 19 year old girl he first met. It cracks me up that he thinks men are hitting on me everywhere I go. Did that sound conceited? I didn’t mean it that way at all. I’m just telling you about Ed because he is the biggest part of my life and he’s such a goofball.

    Anyway, as you all can tell from my posts, my feelings for Alex are strictly maternal. There’s something about him, even besides his incredible voice, that just grabbed my heart.

    I work from home as a transcripitionist, writer, editor, and jewelry designer. I’m also a free-lance fitness trainer — but, to tell the truth, I’ve been slacking there. I just don’t have the time! Excuses, excuses. I know.

    My husband, the once big, muscled, manly man is now unable to work and is home on disability. A lot of my time is taken up with caring for him and running him around to different doctors and hospitals. He has a very rare disease that little is known about. He doesn’t like me telling people, but he’ll never read this, so it doesn’t matter. It’s a condition where his body is growing all these benign tumors. They’re mostly internal, except when inflammed, so it hasn’t affected his appearance in any unsightly way. But, it’s an extremely painful condition because some of the tumors are located on the spine, nerves, and muscles. It’s been four years of hell really. But, we continue to seek a cure. For now, it’s just pain management really.

    But, don’t cry for me. I have many blessings in life and like to have fun. I’m surrounded by loving family and friends (all slightly loony), but we love our dysfunctionality (is that a word). Lottsa drama. Never a dull moment.

    Oh, yeah, I live in NY (about an hour north of Manhattan) where the air is clean and we have mountains and streams. It’s funny how different just a short drive makes. I was raised in the South Bronx though, so if anyone knows NY, it’s not exactly the garden spot of the world. It was a tough neighborhood. The city has changed so much though since that time. It’s been cleaned up quite a bit.

    Okay. Enough about me. I also talk way toooo much.

  13. Hey guys just want to say I’m sorry I’m not around much – got a crazy project to finish by the end of the month and am being really strict with myself over how much time I spend elsewhere! But I’m still checking in to see what’s up and will be back soon!

  14. Hi everybody. I’m Carla aka eagleflaps, midnightdream, peony. Sorry for the many aliases but I like making up usernames so I ended up with these but my real name is Carla. I’m 32 and I’m currently in Japan for graduate school in computer science but I’m not really from here. I love Alex and his music and I was devastated when he left AI. I like his personality and I hope he succeeds wherever he goes because he’s a good kid. And I like coming here because everyone loves Alex too. I don’t post a lot but I come here a lot for updates and just reading through the comments. Thanks for this wonderful site. :)

  15. LOL Janet, in your second paragraph, you could ‘a been talking about me, So exactly what my husband is like in ALL ways, still jealous after all these years (we will be celebrating 25 years in Sept). ha ha. it cracks me up! hes always saying, “so how’s your boyfriend Alex”, I cant get it through his head, they are maternal feeling only, Sheesh, Sorry to hear about all the trials and tribulations, but, it will only make you stronger and you guys seem to have a real positive attitude about it, wonderful!!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Oh, and I was wonder what happened to you Kass!!!
  16. Hi everyone! Not sure whose idea it was, but cute idea for a post! I’m also 26 and I live in Long Island, New York, almost an hour away from the city. I work in the city. I finished my Master’s two years ago and now I’m a school counselor in a K-8 special education school for kids with emotional disabilities, which is why I’m usually not around between the hours of 7am-3pm. I work with the middle school students. It’s exhausting at times, but very rewarding. I love working with kids and enjoy my job very much. No kids of my own, not married yet but hopefully some time in the near future, lol. Oh and I also have a nephew named Alex, it’s one of my favorite names actually! I love music, watching tv, movies, hanging out with friends and family, normal things like that. I like all kinds of music, anything that has a good beat and melody and good lyrics. And of course I too love Alex Lambert and his music! I watched every season of AI and Alex is the only person who has had such an impact on me. I’m amazed by his voice and musical talent. I just really believe in him and feel that he deserves every success! Oh and my family also thinks I’m completely crazy and my brother makes fun of me all the time, but I don’t care, lol. I think Alex is a very adorable kid, but I’m a few years older than him so I don’t really see him that way. I guess because he was still in high school, I feel like he could be my student or something, lol. But I do love Alex because you can just tell he has a good heart and he’s a great kid. I hope that all his dreams come true!
  17. Areyouin – Sorry I didn’t reply sooner, I was off to work. My son is 9. He worships some older neighborhood kids who also play hockey. I was able to buy some used equipment from them, but I still have well over $300 in already. He better stick with this.
  18. My name is Sharri. I live in the mountains of southern Virginia. I have a degree in Accounting. I’ve been working at the phone company for 20 years. I have 2 daughters ages 24 and 17.
    My husband works very early so he goes to bed around 830, so that’s when I get on the computer. So he has no idea who Alex is.
    I watch American Idol with my 70 year old aunt. The only thing I remember about Alex during Hollywood week is that crazy Mary yelling at him. We were watching the top 24 week. When he started singing, my aunt and I stopped talking and looked at the tv. I was thinking “Wow what an amazing voice” I didn’t realize who it was. My aunt said, “I really like his voice and look at those dimples”. I have been in love with his voice ever since. My aunt doesn’t have a computer, so every once in a while she asks me how the “boy with the dimples” is doing.
    I don’t watch IICD when Alex isn’t there. I wish he would hurry back. I’ve had to find other things to do, like cleaning house and paying bills. Yuck!!
  19. Hey everyone. I live in Augusta Georgia and I am 45. In my head and heart I am about 25. I have a wonderful husband Philippe who grew up in the southwest of France and became a US citizen 8 years ago and a 16 year old son Mathieu who works diligently at school and tennis. I am a stay at home mom. I did work for several years in quality assurance and quality control for a few pharmaceutical companies. I have neglected just about everything in my life for the last two months. Maybe Alex’s break from the house is something that I needed too, ha ha. At least I can get caught up again with my sleep and housework. My husband came home from traveling today and wanted to know what was going on in “the house”. I told him Alex was back in Texas and he replied that he was glad that he didn’t have to start the intervention. Then my son quickly responded that Alex was coming back soon, so I’m not out of the woods yet.
    My mother calls Alex my second son. I can honestly say that I have never felt like this about an artist before. I think that Alex has the ability to put a magical spell on people when he opens his mouth to sing. What do y’all think? That voice captivates me. I watch the live feed until the wee hours in the morning if I know that he is up creating or producing music. I felt awful the day after the recording session of “I’m Never Waking Up.” I have never kept such hours before. It’s kinda insane. I just love the boy and hope that he is able to spend some quality time with his family and friends right now and returns to LA with renewed vigor.
    I enjoy exercising and was doing a pretty good job on P90X before Alex entered the house. I’m starting back today. I have two dogs who I call my girls and walk them ever afternoon listening to my Alex Lambert tracks on my Ipod. I love music in general, favorites are obviously Alex, Coldplay, U2, so many others. I don’t lead a very exciting life. We travel alot in the summer so it will be hit or miss for me, but I’ll be keeping up by coming to this awesome fansite. I’m hoping that I don’t miss to much.
    Thanks Tif for starting the site back up. So many of us appreciate it. Sorry it has been such a problem.
    Janet sorry about your husband’s condition. You sound like a great partner in life and I must say that you are one of Alex’s greatest defenders. Thanks!
    Kassandra, I played my son the Alex original you like “Tired of Waiting” yesterday. I wanted to get his input because he is unbiased and a teenager. He liked it too; couldn’t hear the words too well, but liked the melody.
    Sorry that I didn’t post my comments yesterday on the episode. I could have just put ditto next to all of the positive comments. I was so proud of him and liked that he was honestly portrayed as he should have been this whole time on the show. I got tear eyed too. He sounded great. My mom saw the episode today said he did FANTASTIC and my son agreed that he did really well. He didn’t understand why someone after the game tweeted something about a pitch problem because there surely wasn’t one. Anyhow everyone have a great day and maybe tomorrow’s discussion can include WTH is going on at that house. Justin..Claire.. strange indeed.
  20. This was a great idea. I’m really enjoying to getting to know you all better. The recurring theme is that Alex is special. I have never joined a fan club or anything like that in my life. I’ve been a fan of people, of course, but never had this kind of emotional connection or whatever it is that Alex evokes in us.
    It’s official: Gig is the least entertaining. 47% I think. Wow! I really didn’t see that coming (snark). LOL! Well, it had to be her or Justin and Justin’s leaving anyway, so…
  21. Gig has been tweeting a lot seems like and running around in a bikini and flrting a lot with Ben and still she’s boring :( haha, I dont care. She’s like the favorite punching bag of the show.
  22. Hi everyone! I’m kinda similar to char, funny. I’m 29 and a graphic designer and letterpress printer working/living in the midwest. I generally follow more alternative and indie music but Alex caught my eye on idol and I’ve been following him ever since “Everybody Knows.” I generally check this site at work, so I don’t comment much, but I enjoy reading others’ comments!
    I’m live with my wonderful husband and our fur-baby, Zoey (a Shih Tzu), that is the cutest little shit. Since I get the Alex scoop at work my husband doesn’t know much about Alex, but I’ll show him vlogs and demos from time to time. He doesn’t get it…lol.
  23. This is a fun topic. I like learning more about the people that post here.
    I just turned 34 a few weeks ago, married, don’t have any kids (yet), but I do have a cat named Izzie and I live in Louisiana, near New Orleans. I have a degree in creative writing and I’m finishing up a novel for publication at the moment. Until I become the next J. K. Rowling *wink wink* I help to pay the bills by working as a homeschool teacher, although I’m off on summer break until August. I also do a bit of art on commission when time and energy allows, mainly gestural portraits in charcoal and pencil, abstract paintings in acrylics, and calligraphy. I grew up dancing (mainly ballet) and I’d love to get back into that again one day soon. I also really enjoy singing and playing the piano. I’ve done quite a few musicals in school and in local productions, as well as concerts at local venues. I’m pretty sure Alex would HATE my voice as I have a lot of vibrato…lol! Speaking of Alex, he has really renewed my desire to learn how to play the guitar and I’ve decided that as soon as I finish my book I’m going to buy one. Basically I love to do anything and everything artsy, although I am a bit of a geek too as I love to read books on science, mathematics, and history…but really I love to read anything. That’s pretty much me in a not so small nutshell!
    I thought Alex was really good on Idol, but I didn’t become totally invested in him until I saw him sing on Ellen. He completely blew me away and I’ve been in his corner ever since then.
  24. Thanks everyone for sharing, it’s really great to get to know everyone! And I agree Janet, there are many artists I like, but I have never joined a fan club or anything like that, ever, lol. There’s just something special about Alex, he’s got that IT factor! You just wanna root for him.
  25. My sister was having a bad day today (she also thnks I am crazy), so I sent her the video of Alex and Veronica singing “dont say”, to cheer her up cuz it always makes me smile, and told her to watch Alex the whole time, and if he isn’t the most adorable kid she ever saw, then………………..Oh, and I have never ever joined a fan club either!! Not even in my Tiger Beat days lol.
  26. @cathy – my advice to you regarding equipment is not to get sucked into buying $300,$400 or, egads, $500 skates at his age!! His feet are growing too fast and you will need a new pair at LEAST every year. Some fast-growth years you may not even be that lucky. On the other hand, you have to do right by him and not get something too inexpensive either. Just make sure the blades are stainless steel and best to get them from a hockey store (not just a sporting goods chain). We used to hand down Alex’s skates to a co-worker of my husband who’s boy played and was a year or so younger. Some hand-me-downs can be awesome! The other thing is the sticks — geez the “pretty” composite sticks the boys drool over like candy can be very expensive (and can break). Though expensive, it has been worth the money! Great families to meet and it teaches the boys and young men lots of valuable life lessons!! Enjoy!!
  27. Ok, haha I’ll do this now :) I feel like the yougster, I’m only 16! I’m from Lincoln, Nebraska (GO CORNHUSKERS!) Not too much fun around here.. just alot of corn, but I actually don’t live on a farm. I do not have a job.. haha I’m only 16 but I actually plan to get one soon hopefully. I live with my parents, and I have 5 sisters, but they’re all moved out and married! I have a rabbit and his name is Robbie :) and a puppy and her name is Mina. I’ve been playing guitar since I was about 11, and I write songs.. I try to sing but I’m really not that good! ha. I used to be into hard rock music, and I still am, but Alex did really introduce me to a different genre, whatever that may be. I listened to James Morrison because Alex really likes him, and James is really good. They have somewhat the same tone of voice and I love it! I encourage all Alex fans to give James a listen. But I was a fan of Alex from the beginning, well, the top 24. I didn’t watch hollywood week, I never have in any season. But I’m really excited because when Alex gets very very famous, we can all say we were there for Alex from the very beginning!
  28. Areyouin – Thanks so much for the advice. I really appreciate it.
  29. Hey there, Hi there, Ho there!! My name is Kristi(aka, KJ). I’m 5’6″, a Gemini (or a cock if you go by Chinese astrology), love the color green, only wear flip flops in the summer and I’m about to be 29 this Friday.
    I love the following things: Music. My family and friends. Talking. Skipping. Text messaging. Music. Stuff. Things. People. Music. Playing the geetar. Sliced bread. Really sharp scissors. Music. People who know what they want and stop at nothing to try to achieve it. The Wizard of Oz. My cat, Jose. Green lights. Music. Ben Elliott’s budding acting career. Hugh Grant (even with the hooker charges against him in the 90’s). Car maintenence coupons. Business and Marketing… oh and Alex Lambert! I love a lot of other things, but I think those are my favorites :)
    I recently moved to the southern metro area in Minnesota and love Love LOVE it! I really love anything that keeps my attention for more than 30 seconds.
    I have gone to school for everything imaginable, but I am going back to school to finish my business marketing/administration degree.
    Ok, I’m done.. anything else you want to know, just ask :)
  30. Lauren, I can’t believe you mentioned the word intervention! I have a friend who keeps threatening the same to me. I told her she’s totally tone deaf, a bitch, wtf is wrong with you?, etc. — it’s okay, we’ve been friends since junior high — but, I guess they’ll never get our devotion. Personally, I don’t care and I don’t need no damn intervention. I’m very happy in my obsession, even though I stay up all night and watch Alex when I should be working. Ed’s missing me right now. I better go spend some quality time with him. He just asked when I was going to get off the computer. Its normal, right? hahahaha
  31. Oh boooh, I wrote a whole text and then it just disappeared… I’ll just give you guys all the deets on me tomorrow instead :P (I live in Sweden, it’s 01:41 am, enough said… haha)
  32. Janet, my husband, just walked in and said…..You have a secret life…..whatever!!! lol!
  33. @areyouin thanks ;) just imagine if it was a FULL biography.. it’d be a page :p
    and Kat, I know where you could get a job :)
  34. @Chrilly I have a sister-in-law that lives in Gothenburg. I wonder if you’re close by.
    I loved reading all of your bios ladies. It’s fun to get to know you better.
    Okay Tif, yes it is all over DU about Alex thinking he was being portrayed as inept when auditioning for the SSB. Thanks to Gig for telling Kara and then Kara telling Mr. Mumbles. I swear he never speaks so anyone can hear a darn word that he is saying. I would surmise that it was mentioned to Gig on Saturday. Take that and the conversation about fame that was reduced to make him look cocky and the possible love triangle setup. How was he to feel and what do you think that he watched on his laptop early Sat. morning. I’m just saying. Anyhow he is where he needs to be right now with his grandmother. We can only hope that time will heal. It looks like they got the message in that they actually produced an episode that shows Alex in a positive light. At least they’re trying now.
  35. Ok, my turn. I am very happy for this post. I was wondering “who” everyone was and about everyone the other day when my son got on my back about talking to a bunch of strangers on the internet. I told him I really enjoyed coming here to this site and talking to all the “fellow” Alex fans. You all are so nice and we have “Alex madness” in common. :lol:
    My name is Tracy, I am in my 40’s and will be married 24 years in Sept. I have 2 boys and a girl. My husband…. well, he doesn’t know about Alex, per say. He knows I am on the computer A LOT the last 2 1/2 months and I watch a show on the internet all the time, about a singer from American Idol. My boys keep “bringing ” my “obsession” with an internet show up in front of my husband, so I think he knows a little bit. He just tells my son to take the computer away from me (it is my son’s laptop). :roll: My computer is old and freezes when I bring IICD up on it.
    By the way, my daughter, 15, LOVES Alex. She said he is “sooooo cute” and loves his singing. My sons, 21 and 17 are another story. They all think I am totally nuts and should be committed for watching IICD and Alex. They don’t understand why I love Alex’s voice so much (except my daughter). I have always had a love of music. I find Alex’s voice one of the best I have ever heard, he is so sweet and funny. I love his smile. His singing really touches my heart. I have watched AI from the very beginning too. No one has ever touched me the way Alex has. I never joined a fan club or site, either, let alone made any comments on one. I agree with Lauren. Alex puts a magical spell on people when he opens his mouth and sings.
    Well, back to telling you about me. I love doing crafts, all kinds. I don’t work (outside the home). We love to camp, and we go to the beach a lot in NJ. That’s about all I can think of for now. It is so nice to know a little bit about each of you. Thanks.
  36. I just wanna say I think it’s amazing and really speaks to Alex’s talent that he’s affected such a diverse group of people from literally all over the world, different ages, and backgrounds. And although I don’t see any guys who posted, we know that he also has some male fans. It’s so awesome that his music appeals to so many different kinds of people and I think indicates a huge potential for great success in his career. GO ALEX!!!
  37. Yeah I am from far far away, Singapore a Chinese. I started notice him when his face appeaar in the AI interviewing him after his audition. First think that caught me is that he plays the ukelele. Then look closer he remind me of Jason Mraz. And then i seach google and notice he did I’m Yours in some video in a pub stage. I am surprise he got that voice and there it goes. I am just one of them from Asia loves his talent and there are more from asian countries too i guess.
    Yah lastly, I keep sending comment to request Alex to play a cover for ‘Hey Soul Sister’ and he did it one time for me…thats cool. He actually read our comments. Can’t wait to buy his CD…please come to Singapore.
  38. I agree he has male fans from the different forums and more importantly guys doing covers of his songs. I dont think that guys are big on forums so it’s all good, its not like theyll be gushing over his dimples and all, they dont give a shit, they just wanna listen to his music… it’s all about the music anyway. Alex’s voice goes beyond the teen fanbase thats why he attracts admirers from different age groups and musical backgrounds and that’s why I think if he keeps making quality music he will have staying power too. Anyhow glad to know i’m not the only who thinks theyre totally going insane. I feel like im in an AA meeting. “Hello I’m Char and I’m an Alex Addict” lol. Oh its all good anyway…. FYI no one knows at home that I spend an insane amount of time stalking a teenager. I’m lovin it, thanks ladies! And Alex, you are freakin awesome thats why everyone is so in love!
  39. Hi… I’m 24 from Indonesia. I’m a silent reader (both Alex n Ben’s site).
    I started watching idol since season 4. But really followed every episodes since season 8 (Thanks to Adam Lambert. I’m very big fan of him). I was so glad there was another Lambert in season 9. I was so sure he’d be as big as Adam Lambert (or more) bcoz of his voice so tender and calming, but so damn disappointed when he was eliminated.
    I started notice alex in Hollywood week. After he eliminated from Idol, i stop watching Idol. And joined ‘Vote for the worst’ and smack AI in twitter. LOL
    Now i’m fan of Ben elliott too (Thanks to Alex)! LOL. I love the Bromance between them. Haha… I asked Ben for more Bromance in tweet, he just laugh. LOL
    And Ben always reply my tweets. LOL.
  40. What a nice idea! I’d love to get to know everyone here a bit better =) I’m on the East Coast, just turned 23, and currently taking grad classes for education. I’ve been a huge fan of Jason Mraz since I was 16, but over the past year or 2, my admiration of him and his music has been fading away for a couple different reasons. Still love “I’m Yours”! I was happy to hear Alex perform it during Hollywood week. I’ve played the piano since I was little and I’ve been in my HS and college bands and orchestras playing upright bass and oboe, hehe – band geek! I learned the guitar 4 years ago (mainly bc of Mraz and the Beatles) and I’ve been meaning to practice more. I know a little of “I didn’t know” though haha.
    Other music favorites: The Beatles (love Paul McCartney), Ingrid Michaelson, Rachael Yamagata, Coldplay, Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson, Kris Allen
    TV: Lost, the Office, Friends
    Movies: I’m a big Christian Bale fan, since I was 13. Love Newsies, haha.
    Books: I love the Harry Potter series. And Dan Brown’s books are really good, too.
    I love this site because it’s such a nice way to talk about this artist and his music. I don’t have anyone at home to talk to about this! So it’s cool that we can talk to each other on all the latest info =)
  41. Howdy from Texas. Arrgghh! I don’t like to talk about myself too much, but here it goes.
    Favorite artists are Pearl Jam, John Mayer, Jewel, Train, Kings of Leon, U2, Bob Marley, and hundreds more. Most exciting concert I ever attended was Lyle Lovett & His Large Band… un-freaking-believable! Stevie Wonder, Bette Midler, and Santana were awesome too.
    I have three kids (boy, girl, boy), and got divorced after the kids were grown. My profession is programmer/analyst for -boring- accounting appications, but these days I only take contract projects when I need funds. LOL I also maintain a few web sites seven days a week.
    I am a low maintenance type of girl, and share a simple condo with my business partner. He’s a quiet easy-going young man who tends to work long hours, but when he’s off… he’s off… and drinking margaritas.
    The business partner and I have watched Idol together since Season 1. In the early days, when I lived elsewhere, we watched together via phone. This guy is so critical of the precious kids trying to sing live! In Season 2 he blasted me for voting for Clay Aiken, and was thrilled to learn that I could not get even one vote in after the finale when the lines were tied up. The only time we ever agreed on who should become the next American Idol was in Season 5… Elliott Yamin.
    Fast forwarding to Season 9, my business partner was star-struck over Alex. We both were. I didn’t tell him anything about the IICD house until two weeks ago. Then, one day he worked from home on a day when Alex had a voice lesson. Ok, the time was right. I turned up the volume on my desk-top PC with a huge screen, and that distinctive voice spilled out into the hallway. Needless to say, my partner strolled in there wide-eyed. I could tell he became a little verklempt as he watched. I simply said “It’s Alex Lambert. He’s gonna be a huge star after all.”
  42. hey guys! I am Dale, 14 years old (probably the youngest here) and i’m a second year HS student from Cebu, Philippines. :D
  43. Boy, Kristi, you are a breath of fresh air – and you sure know what you like!!
  44. Xin chao cac thien than cua Alex! I’m Trang, from Vietnam. I’m 27 years old. I’m a teacher of English. I’m definitely hooked on listening to most types of music (preferably Pop, R&B, Rock Ballad, Jazz, folk music and now Alex’s eclectic music). Other hobbies are reading books, watching TV, surfing the net, hanging out with friends, playing sports. I have a younger brother who often makes fun of me because I’m so crazy about Alex and his music (though I managed to get him like Alex’s Everybody knows heehee). He just can’t get why I spend so much time looking for Alex’s updates and replaying his performances thousands of times, haha.
    I just want to thank Kass and Molly (again and again) so much for this wonderful site. Thanks everyone for sharing updates, links and opinions. Lots of fun to have online friends like you.
  45. Ok, I’m going to try this again :P
    My name is Matilda and I’m from Sweden (@lauren: Gothenburg is on the West coast and I’m on the East!). I’m 19 years old and graduated from what I guess is the Swedish version of high school (although it’s a little different here) just two days ago! I first started rooting or Alex in Hollywood week, and was shocked when he got eliminated! I had him and Katelyn as my top 2! I think I was in the first 3000 who signed the petition to get him back on, and I have to admit I was a little sceptical about IICD at first, but as soon as Alex moved in, I was hooked! Apart from Alex, I think Gig is my fav IICD cast member… she’s really grown on me, and she really does care a lot about the fans. She doesn’t just reply to tweets – she’ll tweet you first!
    Music is a huge part of my life. My favorite band is McFLY (from the UK) and Alex is obviously my fav solo artist! (Check out the music I listen to here: http://www.last.fm/user/chrillesson – does anyone else have a last.fm account? would be great to see what others are listening to!) I love singing and writing music myself, and I first discovered I could sing back when I was about 12 years old. Of course, if I’m listening to my old recordings now… I realize that I kinda sucked… but I don’t anymore, promise! ;) I’d love to audition for IICD, but I’m not sure if I can! I once auditioned for the Swedish Idol, but I didn’t even get to see the judges. I often ask myself WHY I would stand in line for 7 hours, in SNOW, just to get a “sorry, but you’re not going to get to see the judges”. I think a lot of talent goes unnoticed that way, because they mainly send crazies and tone deaf people to the judges… ooh well, enough about that!
    I love animals (well, at least animals with fur…) and we have two guinea pigs in the family. I’ve also been taking riding lessons since I was about 7. I live with my parents and my two younger sisters (ages 18 and 15), and part of what I love about Alex is that the way he acts towards others is exactly the way me and my sisters act around each other. It might seem a little weird to say, but I guess Alex reminds me of my sisters haha :P (Alex, if you ever read this, no offense! :P)
    Hrrm… what else can I say? I’m a Twilight fan (not the obsessed kind!) and I just recently discovered the greatness of Beverly Hills 90210. Other tv shows I love are Life Unexpected, The Vampire Diaries, Glee and How I Met Your Mother. I mean, come on, what is there not to love about Neil Patrick Harris?!
    I guess that’s about it… oh no wait… I LOVE soccer (or FOOTBALL, as normal people say it… just kidding… maybe… haha) and went across the country to stand for 5 hours in biting wind and hail just to watch my team win the league for the first time. Needless to say, I’m totally tv bound now that the World Cup is on ;)
    Ok, I’m going to stop writing now. I’ve already put you guys through enough ;) Let me just say that I’m doing my best to spread the word about Alex up here in Sweden, because he truly deserves it! He’s going to do great one day and I’ll be one of those proud people who can say “I was there from the beginning, I watched it all happen” :)
  46. I think I’m kinda late but I wanna be a part of this amazing thing too! So ehm, my name is Kiki. Hello! I’m 14 and I live in Makassar, Indonesia. I love Alex and I’m rooting for England*worldcupfever*! Yaaaaaaay! And yesss, I’m a muslim :)
  47. Connie D, that made me tear up a little bit at the end………Oh and the most awesome show I ever attended is one of my favorite bands UB40, so much energy and fun!! :)
  48. Hi everyone, I’m from the sunny island of Singapore :)
    Been a fan since Alex sang “Everyone knows”. Really love his voice and the unique tone. Still amazed at its depth – the way it draws different emotions from different people. :mrgreen:
  49. Oops it’s “Everybody Knows” ahahah sleepy eyes http://alex-lambert.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif
