  1. I think every theory presented so far is definitely plausible (and exciting). But, who knows when it comes to Alex. I do believe something important is happening though…just not sure what.

  2. LindaW: LOL, I know this is old, but came across it while surfing (the web)….its part of a article from LA Weekly by Lina Lecaro talking about Alex (with Justin G) pre Idol finals in June:

Haha; yep, that’s our allleycat. I Haven’t seen this article before. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Linda. I heard him use the term, butt rock, in the IICD house

  3. Kass (admin): Woo! Jfly’s in Cali! Performing (Really?! where?) with Alex and the Lights!

Who is Jfly? It seems you guys know who it is and I don’t. Alex and Sam have tweeted twice about the band practice. That’s good. I wonder if its for the yahoo showcase thing they were planning to do for him or just some local gig. Alex did say he’s hoping for a gig for his band.

Btw, has Alex written with Ryan Tedder of “One Republic”? Which song? I remember we were discussing him here while IICD was still on, but can’t remember if they definitely worked together. It’d be good if they did though. Ryan Tedder is a great song writer who has written or co-written some big hits like Kelly Clarkson’s “Already gone”, Jordin’s Sparks “Battlefield” and Leona Lewis’s “Bleeding Love.” I really like those songs. And I love the song “Secrets” that he wrote for his band One Republic — I can’t get enough of that song – cool melodic pop-rock with banging beats. Ryan Tedder is a very talented song writer who writes for pop/hip-hop/rock artists and has a knack for great melodies.

    • @shadow Jfly is Alex’s friend Jarvis from Texas. He made the song “New World” with Alex (he’s the guy rapping). He sent us the song so you can check it out in the mp3 section.

  4. Katherine: Mhmmm, Lauren, Janet KNOWS something, Idk what, but I know she does, lol. Alex has mentioned possibly being in NYC for New Year’s, right? I think I saw him say that in a tweet to someone. Or did I imagine that? lol. I can’t wait to finally find out exactly what the heck is going on!!   (Reply)

Katherine!! I was just going to mention that. Do you think he will be performing, for say the New Year’s Rock’n Eve Show??? (or what ever it is called) This is only my wish and thought. haha

  5. Connie D.: Samuel Larsen is complaining of a headache again on Twitter after band practice.Someone please tell him to keep a bottle of gatorade in his backpack. It works for some people.http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5202620_gatorade-cure-headaches_.html

Gatorade for headache? I can see how that might work. I’ve read in medical infos that not drinking enough fluid can contribute to headaches. I never get headaches (I tend to drink lots of water – maybe that helps) I think Sam is just prone to headaches, but he did say he had a photoshoot most of the day then went to band practice with Alex after. He said he’s stressed today. I think looking for a job and having a new apartment to take care of may be contributing to his stress and headaches. Awww, poor Sam. I hope it works out. I like Sam, and I’m glad he’s still in the band with Alex.

Gollymolly: Oh ok. I know about the song “new world” and that his friend rapped on it. I just didn’t know his name is Jfly. I like the song.

  6. Hate to burst your bubble guys, but I think Alex tweeted a response to someone that he “might” be in NYC for New Year’s, but not performing.

@Shadow, I don’t think a Ryan T./Alex L. collaboration has taken place, unless it was really on the down low. I know people like to bash Tedder, but that song Secrets has really grown on me. He does know how to write a great radio-friendly Pop tune. I wouldn’t mind if Alex had a collabo with Ryan in his bag of tricks.

  7. I don’t see what’s so perplexing about Alex having band rehearsals. They NEED it. When it comes time to promote his album, they’re gonna need to be up to snuff. And the majority of them are largely amateurs who’ve never played professionally before. So I sure as hell hope they’re practicing their little fingers off!

I know Diane. I saw that tweet too. I was just dreaming that it might happen and voicing the thought. lol
That would be a cool though. A nice big way to introduce Alex to the world for the new year. haha

  9. Okay super sleuths…I fell asleep with HLN news on and woke up during the Showbiz tonight section and they were talking about the voting for AI and guess who they showed….Alex!! I didn’t have the sound on so missed it while frantically trying to find the remote!! Of course, was over once I found it! They were showing him when he was singing Everybody Knows I think!

I think that this may be it. http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/
It was a report that included some rumored voting changes that were leaked to votefortheworst.com. I wonder if they showed Alex in the video when the report talked about allowing 3 wildcard contestants in the finals. It could have also been if the report discussed the elimination of the semifinals altogether. Fox has declined to comment on the accuracy of the details.

@Lauren…I’m sure it was about the voting and they showed Alex because of the uproar when he was voted off. Sure was nice seeing him on TV and keeping his name out there though!

I love “Secrets” too! Pretty much addicted to it at the moment :cheerful: Ryan Tedder is amazing and I’d say most of his stuff has hit potential, at least everything I’ve heard. I’m never surprised to find out that he’s been involved in writing one of my fav songs

  13. I wonder whose car got towed to Melrose Tow last night???

@cw yes I have been noticing that a lot lately, people including Alex’s name or face every time a voting change has been discovered. It was his elimination that caused many people to turn off their TVs to Idol once and for all.

  14. They replay- showbiz tonight- every morning on CNN HLN -if anyone wants to tune in-I will

  15. Lauren:
    Here’s the correct link:
    http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2010/12/02/is-online-voting-coming-to-american-idol/

Oh Lauren I am still laughing, I love “Loretta Jenkins” ha ha ha

  16. @alleycatfan Thanks for the heads-up on CNN. I’m tuning in now waiting to see the segment w/the snipet of Alex!!

Hmmm, let me guess, anyone we know??

  18. OK, what am I missing? How do you know about this Melrose Tow business? Who tweeted? Super sleuths strike again…

  19. Diane: OK, what am I missing? How do you know about this Melrose Tow business?Who tweeted?Super sleuths strike again…

@ Diane- You’re really not missing anything…a young lady was just having fun snapping a picture. Ya know..tweet, tweet.

Oh I taped the HLN segment..not much to it, but Alex’s “Everybody Knows” performance did get featured on the clip. You see… “Everybody Knows” that he’s going to be the star, lol.

@Linda- Loretta Jenkins is a trip. Is she foul mouthed or what? I couldn’t help but think of a few of us at the 2 minute part of the clip…sans the cutting. :w00t:

  20. Though somewhat brief,LOVED the CNN HLN piece. And Alex was shown more than anyone else in the short segment, even over the judges,et all.Guess CNN has GREAT taste!!!

  21. Thanks Lauren, I tracked it down. :ninja:

I wonder if Alex is having continued car trouble–or maybe they were parked in a no parking zone. I figured out that the flat tire picture he recently tweeted was off a Land Rover. Not sure if that’s a vehicle that he purchased recently or what, but whooo man, he should have stuck with buying a Honda or even a Ford.

Now I’m just speculating about his car, but I can see him impulsively buying something like a Land Rover if a good deal came along on, say, a used one. They are pretty cool looking. But take it from someone that impulsively bought a Maserati (me) without doing my homework first, these types of cars are nothing but unreliable and temperamental. *And* extremely expensive to repair and maintain. After all, Land Rover is made in the same country as Jaguar (until they were bought out by an Indian car manufacturer), so enough said.

Alex just doesn’t need the extra headache of a flaky car right now. I know I got to the point of not driving my Maserati (btw, it was their inexpensive coupe, not a fancy race car LOL) anywhere because of the fear of it stalling out on me or stranding me somewhere. Piece of sh*t is right…

ETA: Loretta Jenkins was a trip! She was channeling Paula Deen’s voice to a tee. Loved the bandage and the ciggie flicking, nice touches.

  22. That flat tire pic had to have been on a showroom floor-there was only carpet, and tile, under the car. That’s weird though- :alien:

  23. alleycatfan: Though somewhat brief,LOVED the CNN HLN piece. And Alex was shown more than anyone else in the short segment, even over the judges,et all.Guess CNN has GREAT taste!!!

    Damn, I wanna seeee :(

  24. @LindaW-There was a short teaser in the first part of the show, showing Alex singing E.K.Then,you had to wait about 40 minutes ,or so til they showed the actual segment, and Alex was def. shown by far the longest of anyone-mid range and closeups of him singing E.K.,and he looked HOT in the clips, natch, but it was a brief segment on Idol’s format and judging changes,BUT Alex was def. the most seen by far, during it-just glad for the pub.,even thru a short segment.I  CNN…

  25. Just an FYI, but Alex tweeted me about the picture today…and said his car had just been towed…lol..he has no luck w/ cars at all…lol
