Excuse the unoriginal title, but the Christmas food-induced stupor has yet to wear off, and that’s what we’ve got for you today: two things – to do with Alex Lambert of course!
Thing #1: Cecily Gonzalez has started a twitition to get Alex Lambert’s Twitter account verified!
What does that mean, you ask? Well, verified accounts belong to famous people and have a little checkmark in a blue circle beside their names. This means that Twitter has verified that the account belongs to the actual celebrity, and not to someone impersonating them. As Cecily put it, if Alex’s account is verified, “when he’s HUGE, people will know that @TrueAlexLambert is really him, and all others are fakes… and it will make him feel special”. For more on verified accounts, read this Twitter article.
Unfortunately, Twitter seems to be in the process of changing how accounts get verified: people used to be able to apply, but now the program is “closed to the public”… maybe a twitition is the new and only way to go?! Just in case, sign the petition now if you haven’t already: http://twitition.com/bop7m
Thing #2: Remember back in August when Alex performed for sick kids at the Children’s Hospital LA?
Well someone in the audience at that charity event recorded a short clip of him singing “Trouble”, and has at last uploaded it to YouTube! It’s only 50 seconds long, much of it is sideways, and the view is blocked by heads and elbows, but that doesn’t matter to us Alex Addicts, right? So thank you swtgrl29 for digging the clip out from wherever it was collecting cobwebs!
Got any more Alex Lambert videos collecting dust? For example, of his recent performance of the national anthem at a football game? Or his set at O’Briens with the Purple Melons? We’d love to see them, whatever the quality!! Thanks for sharing!!
