  1. Some of you probably have already seen these videos, but for those of you who haven’t, it may give you a glimpse of the environment where Alex and Toby were writing and/or will be producing his song. I also wonder if possibly another songwriter was present or it was just the two. We may find out one day.

The first video is with Pixie Lott, interesting artist with a distinct voice… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30vqr6ui5Os&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

The second gives an idea of the writing process with a particular artist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gQeNQYx280&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

I only skimmed the Wiki article for song titles the other night, so I completely missed that he grew up in Germany, hence the accent. I wasn’t thinking someone with a name like Toby would have a German accent, ha ha.(It’s really Tobias.)

The smile on Alex’s face in the Toby Gad picture says it all. Yes Alex, I would say that it was a good week. It was actually better than a good week; it was GREAT week! :w00t:

It was a great week. Now I hope that this week will top last week!

Thanks Kass for the great Tweetcap!

  3. Ha Kass I watched those videos yesterday and I thought the same thing, and went back and forth between the pics, from as much as we can see in Alexs pic, it does look like the same area. Toby seems like a really nice guy, even a little shy, I suppose. Very impressive resume he has. Oh big things are happening for our Alex, I am so happy for him…..all good things come in time

Thought I would share this too…ha ha caught hubby watching Alex’s Ellen interview and singing Sunday Morning at Huntington Beach (you should have seen his face  lol)– he is still really jealous :getlost: but is starting to understand now..even wants to listen to the MP3’s on the plane ride back to San Diego next week. I knew I would wear him down eventually.

  4. Good for you, Linda. Mine will listen if I play them in the car. He will also share his opinion on general music industry stuff with me. Alex has definitely become a regular part of our lives. haha!

Yeah! It will be nice when I can talk to him about it without his eyes glazing over

  6. I’m not sure where to post this, but since this topic mentions songwriters, I guess this one makes sense…

I’ve been wondering what happened to Deekay, since I haven’t seen any mention of them working with Alex in the past few months. Then, it just dawned on me, they’ve been busy writing and producing music for the British boyband, JLS, who were runners up on the British X-Factor a few years ago. Their 2nd album comes out next week and Deekay wrote and produced 3 songs on it. They’ve also produced a song for the X-Factor 2009 winner’s album, which just came out last month. Needless, to say, they’ve been busy guys!

Interesting that Chris DeStefano and Toby Gad’s names also come up when you start looking into X-Factor music. No wonder all this music sounds the same. :ermm:

Still, pretty mind-blowing that Alex is working with all the same writers that the “winners” and “runner ups” get.

    • Diane, didn’t Alex work with DeeKay recently, along with Raphael Saadiq? Can’t remember when, but it was a few weeks ago either right before or right after he was in Texas.

      • Alex is chillin’ at Giglianne’s house. Lol, not exactly sure what this is a picture of…but I’m guessing it’s the outside of her apartment.

        TrueAlexLambert alex lambert
Chilling at Giggy’s @giglianne_ . Her places’s theme song should be Good vibrations by the beachboys;) Haha.. http://twitgoo.com/1qo0si

ETA: Samuel tweets he lives in LA now. Everyone is coming back together!! AWWW!

  7. That’s sweet…I knew those two (Alex and Gig) had something special. Even though they fought like cats and dogs! You know how Gig always said she would never miss anyone when they left the house? I think Alex would have been the only exception. He sounds happy, doesn’t he?

Yeah, Molly, you’re right about Deekay and Saadiq. I’d forgotten about that! I just checked Alex’s twitter timeline and it was October 8th when they were in the studio together.

Poor Samuel, he sounds like he’s broke and jobless. I guess the Alex Lambert guitarist gig isn’t panning out too well right now. I wonder if he’ll still be part of Alex’s touring band?

  8. @Diane – the cynical part of me says that Gig is only maintaining contact with Alex because she knows he’s going places. She’s never met a meal ticket she didn’t like. :ninja:

  9. Diane:

Poor Samuel, he sounds like he’s broke and jobless.I guess the Alex Lambert guitarist gig isn’t panning out too well right now.I wonder if he’ll still be part of Alex’s touring band?

Yeah, Sam says he’s looking for a job – he’s gonna need one since he said in his blog he just moved to his own apartment cause he wants his independence and to experience life and growth or something – and his music school is in La too. But he hasnt been totally jobless – he’s been modeling on the side. It may not pay him much, but I like how Sam is versatile – he does his music and other things. He’s focused on his goals. Here is a video of Sam modeling recently at La fashion week. He modeled for Ashton Michael. He’s a cool designer. You can see Sam come on the runway at 3:24 mins. http://vimeo.com/16193766

Snuffles: I like that Alex and Gig can put away their differences and hanging out after IICD. It may be hard for fans to forget how annoying Gig got, but time heals.

Here is a recent tweet (this am) from Deekay :

“Got singles charting in 5 different countries with 5 different artists in 4 different languages- incredible how music transcends borders!!!”

  11. Hopefully, soon Deekay will have one more charting single to brag about. (I wouldn’t mind seeing Butterflies on the charts, just sayin’.)
