  1. Thanks Linda for the tip!!

  2. Damn! Why does it have to be on Sunday? I can’t find a flight back that will get me back to NY on time for an appt. Monday morning. I’ll keep looking. I figure I’m halfway there vs. going to LA.

  3. This is awesome! Go Alex!

  4. Damn is right. :pinch: My sister-in-law lives San Antonio. What is that 4 hrs. away?? I wish I was visiting her right about now. I will be in a couple months, but that doesn’t do me any good right now. Hmmm, I wonder if I could get her to do me a BIG favor?….. I don’t know, she doesn’t even know who Alex is, I think. I wonder if I should give her a call, lol
(boy am I going to be dead meat)

  5. You aren’t going to ask her to drive 4 hours to videotape Alex’s performance, are you Tracy?? Good luck with that…

So pleased that he’s got a charitable event scheduled–lot’s of stuff going on this month in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Hope they get a good turnout. Would love to know how something like this got on his schedule.

Selfishly was hoping he’d be heading back to LA by the weekend to get going on his recording. No wonder his tweet from yesterday sounded a little impatient. All in due time, all in due time, right???

Guess he’ll be home to see the next Rangers game, (since they lost to the Yankees tonight), maybe he can score some tickets.

  6. Its good that Alex gets to do something like this while visiting Texas. He gets to do something for charity and at the same time keep his name out there in Texas. It would have been good if he was able to do a promo/interview for IICD in Texas when the show was still on. If a local News or some public TV covers this Charity event he should talk to them – its good PR for him. He needs to come back to LA soon and focus on career, but Texas is big and he should take advantage of any opportunity he gets there too.

Tracy: Your sister in law will say “obsessed much?” if you try to ask her to drive to some event hours away just to go take pics or video tape Alex. An idol or IICD fan who knows about it may go there.

  7. Ok, I’ll be 4.9 miles from the event on Sunday… at my grandson’s 2nd birthday party! My son will kill me dead if I slip out for a while. (I live in Houston and don’t visit often enough).

I don’t want to bother Alex for an autograph. I just want to hear a few notes of that voice live.

  8. Hey Connie, a trip to a live Alex performance is a GREAT 2nd birthday present!! (hint, hint)

  9. I think its Tremendous-Alex doing this, and I tell you what its a GREAT cause,as well. The folks will be inspired by a Killer vocalist, and they may donate all the more!

  10. Woohoo at last! Alex’s episode of Don’t Forget the Lyrics will be airing on November 2nd!!

    http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tv/dont-forget-the-lyrics-alex-lambert/EP013333300048

We’ll post more as soon as we know it… but start spreading the word!! And SOMEONE better figure out how to record it and upload it to the Net somewhere by then, else there’s no way I’m gonna get to see it :P

  11. It would only be fitting for Alex to participate in this event. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t his grandmother’s cancer begin as breast cancer. I can surely see him doing this in her honor.

Kass- I’ll do my best to tape “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” now that we know the air date. Unfortunately, my local station does not have the same schedule. I agree someone needs to get this done for all of us. Poor thing, I want to see Alex trying to figure out the lyrics to a Barry White song. Remember when he told someone in the house that he chose that category because his mom listened to Barry White….NOT. :silly:

  12. Yay…cant wait for that episode, now, is still on VH1 right?

  13. @LindaW. VH1’s schedule is completely different. Bo and Taylor’s episodes haven’t even aired yet.

  14. lauren: @LindaW. VH1’s schedule is completely different. Bo and Taylor’s episodes haven’t even aired yet.

Oh No, whats the channel its on “My… something?” and do we get it?

  15. Ok I think I figured it out that its also the CW, right? I think Molly may have mentioned that before…Oh well i guess we will see.

  16. Diane: Selfishly was hoping he’d be heading back to LA by the weekend to get going on his recording. No wonder his tweet from yesterday sounded a little impatient. All in due time, all in due time, right???

I suspect he’ll be back no later than Nov 1st. Perfect time to move into a new apartment.

  17. @Diane – “You aren’t going to ask her to drive 4 hours to videotape Alex’s performance, are you Tracy??”
@Shadow_ia – “Tracy: Your sister in law will say “obsessed much?” if you try to ask her to drive to some event hours away just to go take pics or video tape Alex.”

No, I’m not even going to mention it to her. I wouldn’t do that.
Besides, I was just voicing wishful thinking.

  18. Tracy: I don’t see any problem with asking your sister-in-law to drive four hours to tape an artist that she’s probably never heard of — but, then again, she just might be a fan since she’s a Texan. You never know, right? I’m really just kidding with ya.

Connie D: How can you stand it? :pinch: I know there’s no love like the love you have for your grandson, but I’d be bursting at the seams to get to The Brownstone.

Unfortunately, I can’t get a flight out on time, so I can’t go. Sucks.

And, yes, I’m sure that Alex is happy to do this project for his meemaw and not just for the experience and exposure. Good for him. I hope somebody tapes it for us. Maybe Alex will have someone record it? What do you think? His family and friends I’m sure will be there. If allowed, why wouldn’t they record it? I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

I know I can record Don’t Forget the Lyrics from the TV, but how do you transfer it to your computer? It’s probably easy, but I just don’t know how to do it. Someone with some technological skills, give us a clue.

I am glad someone can tape it, because I looked today and I dont have the CW either in this No-wheres-ville I live…they cant even get High Def in here!!! I wanna go back to San Diego!!! :pinch:

  20. LindaW: You should have that CW channel cause its not cable. Gollymolly clarified before its one of those smaller network channel everyone has in USA. It may be called UPN or CW where you live. It airs shows targeted to the younger viewers like “Vampire diaries, Gossip Girl, and Smallville. Check where those are shown in your TV guide and that will be the channel CW. Also the new “don’t forget the lyrics” is also shown on cable on Vh1 – that’s where I’ve seen it cause I don’t watch CW much. Alex’s own may be scheduled on CW though I’m not sure.

  21. And we were concerned when Alex was going to sing the anthem at the Dodger game! LOl! Check this out! http://bit.ly/am6FjW

I know but I checked it this am, on the channel that airs vampires diaries and never saw dont forget the lyrics on anything but VH1, and heard the schedule may be different?? I will see if I can figure it out… Thanks! :)

Ha ha I saw that, yikes! Hey wouldn’t it be something if Alex could sing the National Anthem at a Rangers game if they go to the world series, I know…thats asking alot…

Wow, talk about slurred words.

I emailed them the suggestion with the link to his performance at the Dodger’s game, haha :w00t:

  26. @Cec, Oh you did??? Cool. :cheerful: He did such a great job…I was watching the other day and going between Lee’s, Chrystal’s and Alex’s performances and Alex was just soo much better. And to think, he was so nervous and WE were all nervous for him lol…

  27. Thanks for the Steven Tyler clip — omfg is all I can say. I hereby declare that only Alex Lambert should be allowed to sing the National Anthem at any sporting events or otherwise from this day forward. But, hey, I am a Steven Tyler fan and he’s “only rock and roll” so I like him.

Well, it’s official I believe. The Rangers are in the series and the Yankees are out. It may not be entirely impossible that Alex is asked to sing it again, but probably not likely — twice in one year or even a lifetime? That would be a first.
