Wow, last night was a big night for Alex Lambert fans! Alex played a set at the Roxy for Japan relief. Thanks Stickam for sponsoring such a worthwhile event! Alex was AWESOME! It has been WAY too long since we’ve been able to watch Alex on stage. He looked and sounded really amazing. He wasn’t up there alone, though. He had help from some very talented friends… Patrick Jarrett on drums and Josh Adams on guitar. Thanks Pat and Josh for helping out. You guys were GREAT! Show the crew some love and follow Pat and Josh on Twitter. PatrickJarrett and Joshthewolf.

  6. I don’t know if ya’ll caught his interview later, but it was so cute- The Broadcast host said- you’re REALLY popular with the ladies, believe me I noticed, and he asked Alex to take his shirt off  in hopes of raising many more dollars; Alex should have- they prolly would have raked in an extra 40 – 50 thousand

Hey, AlleyCatFan…Lauren just put the interview up on YouTube…so I’m gonna put it up here. Just give me a few minutes. lol. He would have raised a TON of money if he had taken his shirt off. but you didn’t hear that from me

  9. thank you for putting up the videos from last night. good to see Alex looking and sounding good as ever. I went back and viewed the videos from when Alex appeard at the Roxy with The Lights. Quite a contrast. Obviously with a full band, he was better, plus. I maintain, those kids are very talented especially for their ages, all teenage, 17, 18, 19, except for Oliver Lee.

Hope Alex is able to put together a full band again. He will be able to put on a great concert.

  10. THANK YOU to everyone for sharing their videos! Alex sounded divine last night! So good! And I love his “crew”!! They’re goooood and really cute too! What a hot band, haha. I wonder if they will keep playing shows with him, hope so. This makes me so excited for Alex’s future & his album. I can’t wait to finally see him perform live!! June 26th, hurry up & get here pleaaaase, haha! :silly:

  11. Cathy: I always thought Alex’s voice was amazing… but his voice is even better now than I remember. OMG, the sky is the limit for Alex. He has such an amazing future. I just keep falling in love with him over and over again.

You took the words right out of my mouth Cathy. I can’t believe how smooth and sexy Alex’s voice is getting. Did I say sexy, you bet I did.  What can I say, it gives me goose bumps. lol
I am very proud of how good he is getting. He is going to be a major star one of these days. Just wait and see, and we SNAF have known it from the beginning. Can’t wait for your album.
We will always stand by you Alex.

  12. Wow. I just fell in love with Alex and his voice all over again! Thank you sooo much for posting these videos. If we thought he was awesome to begin with, what do we say now? His style and distinct vocal qualities are still all there — only better! The sky really is the limit for Alex. Nobody does it better.

Wasn’t the interview great? Yep, Alex, the ladies love you. Seems like the interviewer (sorry I don’t who he is) caught that. Keep your shirt on Alex. We love you just the way you are! LOL!

Loved his backup band. It was just enough to give him a little extra oomph, ya know? And, those are some cute and talented guys!

    Ahhh…goosebumps.

Can’t wait to see him live myself!

  13. What a treat to hear and see Alex again perform again! Like everyone has said before he sounded better than ever. I hope he can hook up with Pat and Josh again for more shows, maybe add a few more people to make a complete band.

I wanted to bring lo’s comment over from the previous post. The one that she said she changed her mind about Imperfectly Perfect being trashed and how good it is when performed acoustically. I agree with her. Actually I preferred his 2 originals to the covers he sang and to think those were some of the first songs that he wrote in the Dream House. He is such a special and talented young man.

I also think since he has a good cable hook up now, that he should try to do one Stickam broadcast per month to practice his music in front of an audience. That’s just what I think, but I could have ulterior motives behind that suggestion. Ha Ha

  14. OMGGGGGG I LOVE his Tracy Chapman cover!!! SO GOOOOOD! His voice is perfect for that song…can’t stop watching it. Alex did so great!!

  15. Katherine:

I agree, Katherine!!!!! That’s my favorite, too. I have them all on my phone and can’t stop listening. He really did great! And his voice is so amazing. :w00t:

  16. Watching these just makes me sooo excited for NY :D When do you think Alex will actually announce it? I feel like it’s getting pretty close haha

  17. I finally showed Alex via these above videos, to my cousin Ann(older), who happens to be a big fan of 60’s crooners, coz I was hoping for a decent review, and she said he was “a contemporary looking version of Rickey Nelson”- who I’m not overly famailiar with, but anyway he’s hot. So, I wanted her to elaborate some and she said “he has that dewey, boyish looking face that drives women crazy when he sings”, and wouldn’t really elaborate further on technique, etc.. but I’ll take it as a generally positive review  So, hopefully a new Snaf

  18. I also want to thank those who made these videos of Alex at the Roxy and for them taking the time to post them so the rest of us could enjoy this great music over and over.
After watching the videos several times each already, I have decided that this is one of the best performances that I have seen anywhere. Alex selects the perfect songs for his voice which is just beautiful and the way he adapts them to his style is just perfect. My new favorite Alex Lambert song is “Stand By Me”. Great job Alex, you are on your way to greatness.

  19. Yay! thanks for the uploads…

wow his voice is indeed getting better and better… I thought he sounded incredible in imperfectly perfect, you can really hear the richness of his tone and the flutter, oh the flutter!!!! I heard that song too many times already so I was surprised when I listened to it coz his voice just sounded so much richer and oh so delicious!
Disappointed that he didnt debut a new song… I mean why r you holding back ALex? its imporant that he plays some new material here and there, it wouldnt hurt I think. I thought the band could’ve been tighter though… maybe coz theyre new but I think the Lights were playing better together already so I wish they stuck together longer. Oh and his interview was cute and does he seriously drive a Land Rover???? wth, baller?!

  20. Y… I could agree with you more. I have listened to these songs numerous times on my ipod and every time I am in awe of what I’m hearing. He has a most beautiful distinct vocal ability. Since day 1 I’ve always thought his flutter was what really set him apart from the rest. It shows up with just the slightest extension of his notes. Did you catch at 2:17 mins of “On My Tongue” when he hit the falsetto? I know I’m sounding all fan girly, but I, like you, listen to every note and really embrace his uniqueness.
As far as new material is concerned, Alex probably doesn’t have the clearance to use songs that he wrote with others at this time. #Patience
Also I actually liked the way the guys sounded. It was an acoustic set with a chill vibe. I think they only had a had a couple of days to practice too. Loved the chimes on “Imperfectly Perfect”.
Lastly I would think that this is the same Land Rover that he had numerous problems with during the winter months. I’m guessing it has some age on it and is unreliable at times, but who can’t resist the look of a Land Rover??

  21. @Lauren, I like the Elvis “sneer” at about the :30 second mark on On My Tongue. hee!

Gotta add my really belated Thanks for all these videos. My fave is Give Me One Reason; it really showcases Alex’s soulful abilities. He did great things with that song. And the band was tightest on that tune. The way he says “and I know you got mine, baby”, was Alex at his most confident.

Regarding the Land Rover: Many years ago, I bought a very beautiful Maserati sedan (not a sports car). I couldn’t figure out why it was so affordable, and I fell victim to a total impulse buy, without doing any research beforehand. Well, turns out they were loaded with electrical problems and very, very expensive to maintain. My car would die on me when I made a left-hand turn, and other annoying habits. It was extremely unreliable, and I stopped driving it.

I think that’s where Alex is at with his Land Rover. I’m sure he bought it cheap. The Land Rovers are right up there on the list of “vehicles to avoid buying at all costs”. He’s skateboarding all over LA because the LR must be out of commission again. Really, he just needs to bite the bullet and sell it. I would suggest buying a Honda.

  22. In fact, Alex tweeted only a few days ago that his car had broken down,,so a used car is a used car  You know he has been working out a lot lately and it sure does show in his pro pic- his body has never been trimmer, and soooo sculpted. I remember on IICD he said he weighed 142 lbs. I feel he’s slimmed down further- all lean muscle- prolly at 135 now
