Oh and we couldn’t close the post without the latest Alex news… just the other day he was writing another “sick” song with producer/songwriter Toby Gad – and said he got to meet The Veronicas!

As Snuffles discovered, Alex previously wrote the song “What Makes You So Beautiful” with Gad. We can’t wait to hear both songs!! Maybe we’ll get lucky at Alex’s New York show??

So excited that Alex is writing with Toby Gad again :D

  3. Matilda, Matilda, Matilda — I love your original song!! You remind me a lot of Jewel, but I like your voice better. Beautiful.

Has Alex heard this? He should.

  4. Thank you, Janet! I’m so glad you liked it! :) And as far as I know, Alex hasn’t heard it.

  5. Way to go Matilda. Alex inspiring others, that is what I love. Keep the inspiration going and going, may you inspire others.

I gotta confess, you beat me to the punch with an original song inspired by Alex. I had started an original song inspired by Alex for his B-day, but got distracted, and never got it quite finished. Now I gotta get back to work on it and finish it. I have the hardest time finishing songs, any tips?

  6. I have a really hard time finishing songs as well! You’ve got to have that inspiration to do it. I wrote this song really fast, as those on Twitter may or may not remember (this was back in February). But once I get stuck on a song, I find it really hard to finish it. It’s really all about trying to find that inspiration again. Or, if you don’t, just make yourself finish the “general idea” of the song, because you can always change it up later when you feel more inspired

  7. Matilda, that was a very beautiful version of Alex’s song. You have a beautiful voice. I also liked your original song that you wrote.

  8. Thank you, Tracy! :cheerful:
