Remember the song “New World” that Alex Lambert played in the Dream House after he got back from a visit to Texas a few months ago? I know that everyone who heard it really loved it, and with reason… Well, turns out it was written and recorded with his friend, rapper Jarvis Jfly Henderson, and Jfly has very kindly made it available to us!

Enjoy! And check out Jfly’s videos on his Facebook page!

Thanks Jfly! Looking forward to more great collaborations between the two of you!

  1. Diane: Yikes!, my quoted remark looks out of context at the top of this page.   (Reply)

Diane, I am so sorry, I didn’t mean to make it look that way. I was just commenting on that portion of your comment and I didn’t think of how it would look standing by itself. I will be careful next time. Again, I’m sorry.

Kass and Diane, I know what you mean by it being a reaction to keeping everything bottled up for a long time. I agree it was probably a way to release his relief at being done with the cameras. I know how young men (and women) are. I, myself, use some pretty strong “language” at times. Just ask my family. :ermm:

  2. @Shadow-you have to lay some of the blame with the label, too, for Lee.I just read where Amazon is discounting his debut album-to 7.99(they KNOW what the pre-order numbers are,and are anticipating sad sales),and that is a FIRST for an Idol debut.RCA should have really pushed him into more identifiable Traditional Rock, and gotten stronger writers for that specific genre. His look and VOICE goes MUCH better in that ,than this I guess attempt at Poppy/Rock…I give RCA a BIG thumbs down(wish there was a emoticon for it),but I’ll settle for

  3. Not to worry @Tracy. It’s just that it turned out to be the top post on the page, which made it pop out. Oh, and stop quoting me.

  4. Regarding Lee — I know I haven’t heard Sweet Serendipity yet in my Detroit radio market, though it seemed we were late with Kris Allen’s single also. When it finally hit here it did fine. I’m just not picturing SS to do very well.

  5. snuffles: Alex’s “Wait till I get my money” tweet might be referencing this song:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E58qLXBfLrs

I completely agree with you Snuffles. When he was in the Dream house this song was on his laptop playlist. I heard it several times. He was probably listening to it when he tweeted. I don’t think that the tweet has anything to do with an immediate cash advance. Sometimes I think that we read too much into his tweets, but it’s fun to try to decipher them though.
I wish that he would let us know what he is playing on his laptop song rotation from time to time. So far I have purchased Miguel, Stephen Marley, and Adele tracks because he was listening to them. He has good taste in music.
Also if he had actually signed with a record label, don’t you think that label would have made a public announcement. Soon though..
